Merce Lemon's debut EP 'Ideal for a Light Flow with Your Body' was released in July 2017. It's a collection of wistful, warm songs that reveal a young songwriter wise beyond her years. Dylan Hanwright's (Great Grandpa, Salt Lick) deft production puts Merce's voice and lyrics front and center, accentuating her unique brilliance with thoughtful strings, delicate drums, and subtle touches that make songs like "Love Me or Leave Me" feel cinematic and overwhelmingly beautiful.
On the whole, though, 'Ideal for a Light Flow with Your Body' leaves the listener astonished by Merce and the worlds her songs contain. She has the ability to turn a single phrase into a mantra, a metaphor into a memory. This EP, as one would hope for a debut, leaves you simply wanting more, in the best way.
