Darling Recordings got its start in Bloomington, Indiana, a town known for basketball, a beautiful college campus, and stellar music. You see, Stone Irr had a couple EPs sitting around, Hales Corner had started playing shows, this wild project called FLANCH was happening. Someone needed to press some tapes and send some emails. Hence, Darling.
Pittsburgh, PA
Then things started to get a little out of hand. Tapes turned into CDs, which turned into a partnership with Secretly Distribution, which turned into vinyl. It was time for growth, change, and a new challenge. And Pittsburgh was the place. It's where we met Merce Lemon, drove up to catch some band called Falcon Jane, and met so many amazing people.
Los Angeles, CA
Turns out the depth of winter in the Midwest during a pandemic is some kind of breaking point. Once there were vaccines and we could safely leave our homes we chased the warmth of the setting sun as far west as we could go, Los Angeles. It's been great thus far, everything we hoped. We can't wait to see what comes next.
